Day 30 Troy, Illinois to Weldon Spring, Missouri 98km

Today was HOT. It got to around 36c and the heat and humidity was brutal. We crossed the Mississippi into Missouri and St. Louis. We cycled along the Mississippi as far as the gateway arch which is huge. The Mississippi is very high at the moment and there were parts flooded. We battled our way through the heat and the St. Louis streets to Weldon Spring where we are enjoying the wonderful hospitality of Terri Fessler. Terri is the mother of Brian's friend. We plan on taking advantage of her kindness and are taking a rest day here tomorrow.
