Day 1 Revere, Massachusetts to Kittery, Maine. 102km

We were both wide awake at around 5am this morning due to jet lag but we didn't hit the road until after 9am. We headed to revere beach to dip our tyres in the Atlantic before we set off. Revere beach is the oldest public beach in the US.While we were sheltering from a monsoon at the beach we met Ian. Ian is from England and was heading north as well. We decided to travel together and had a great time listening to his many touring stories. It was great to listen and learn from a touring veteran. We parted company in Salisbury and we continued on highway 1A along the New Hampshire coast which was beautiful even in the mist and fog. After we got dinner in Portsmouth we decided that it was not camping weather so we are staying in villa/prefab in Kittery, Maine. We passed through the states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine today.
