Day 4 Conway, New Hampshire to North Woodstock, New Hampshire 60km

Today was one of those days we dreamed of having when we started planning this trip. We started with pancakes for breakfast in Conway and watched the bikers go by. We have seen hundreds of bikers go by in the last couple of days and only later in the day did we find out that there is a big biker rally in Laconia this week. We then started our long climb up the Kancamagus highway. The gradients for the first 25/30km were quiet easy but it really kicked up for the final 8km. We were baking in the sun as the temperature was 28c for most of the day. About 2km from the top we pulled in at a creek to cool down and as we lay down our bikes Brian found 20 Dollars lying in the ditch. Our luck really is in. The views at the top were breathtaking and the descent was glorious. We had lunch by the banks of a river on the descent and even went for a quick dip. We passed through the town of Lincoln and on to our campsite in north Woodstock. This area is very skiing orientated so there are plenty of places to eat. We went to the local brewery and carb loaded....on pizza
